Palermo sports chief Rino Foschi has confirmed their interest in Lazio midfielder Valon Behrami.

Foschi said: "We have an excellent relationship with (Lazio president) Claudio Lotito and for several years we've followed Behrami.

"But we do not like what is happening between the player and Lazio regarding the Article 17 law of Fifa. We respect very much the club and their president Lotito, we would only sign the player if it were through official channels."
