Palermo boss Rossi full of pride after Inter Milan draw

Palermo coach Delio Rossi was full of pride after their 1-1 draw with Inter Milan.

The Sicilians retained their unbeaten home record this season by fighting back from Diego Milito's penalty through Edinson Cavani.

"We had a bit of a timid start, as perhaps there was too much expectation after seeing how Inter played against Chelsea," said Rossi.

"Paradoxically we only settled after they took the lead. It has to be said, Inter are a wonderful team.

"In the end we were disappointed not to make more of our chances on the counter-attack, as perhaps we were a little too selfish. In any case, I must praise my players."

Palermo remain fourth, though Juventus could jump in front if they beat Sampdoria on Sunday.

Rossi added: "I get positive vibes from this group of professionals. This team has a future and can achieve greatness, even if targets should be hit and not declared."
