Palermo boss Stefano Pioli is desperate to find a new first-choice goalkeeper.
Palermo are still without a goalkeeper, having sold Salvatore Sirigu to Paris Saint-Germain, as Chievo are holding on to top choice Stefano Sorrentino.
"This is a very important role in the side and there's no point denying that," said Pioli.
"The sooner we get a first choice goalkeeper, the better, but this is a long transfer session with negotiations that can drag on right up to August 31. I want a strong goalkeeper, as we're looking for a Number 1."
