Palermo boss Serse Cosmi is ready to go with Fabrizio Miccoli for their derby with Catania.

Cosmi must do without the injured Josip Ilicic and possibly Mauricio Pinilla, so Miccoli could lead a 3-5-1-1 system with support from Javier Pastore.

"Only in Italy do we believe a centre-forward has to be a tall and powerful figure. Just look at Barcelona," said Cosmi.

"Miccoli used to drive me crazy when I started working with him all those years ago, as he continued to move like a centre-forward even when I didn't want him to. He has a sophisticated way of moving and can bring the ball under control in every imaginable way."
