Palermo announce Cosmi sacked, Rossi reinstalled
Delio Rossi has been reinstalled as Palermo coach.
The Rosanero announced last night the dismissal of Serse Cosmi and the rehiring of Rossi as his replacement.
Palermo made the move following yesterday's 4-0 derby thrashing by Catania.
Maurizio Zamparini, Palermo's president, had warned at the final whistle: “If there is to be a change of management, then Rossi will return.
“I repeat, the change is very probable and at that point I would call back the former Coach.
“I am thinking of sacking our manager. I certainly cannot rule out this option. Today’s choices were absolutely inconceivable.”
