Palermo ace Cavani honoured to attract interest from Inter Milan boss Mourinho
Palermo striker Edinson Cavani admits he was flattered by the interest of Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho in January.
Mourinho spoke glowingly of the Uruguayan youngster during the winter market as he explored the prospect of landing the centre-forward.
Cavani faces Inter in Sicily this weekend and he said: "I heard the explanations of Mourinho and I was very happy. The appreciation of such an important coach is pleasing. But I never really thought I could go to Inter in January. It was as if Mourinho was talking about another person and not me."
Only this week, Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp confirmed his interest in Cavani in the Italian press.
