Tottenham signing Wilson Palacios is intent on helping his new club climb the Premier League table.

The former Wigan midfielder is determined to improve the Spurs ranking of 15th this season when the competition returns from the international break.

"The aim is to get us back into the top half of the table first of all, to get more points and enjoy the rest of the season," the Honduran said.

"I know how good Spurs are and the quality of player we have here.

""I've played against them a few times so I know exactly how good they are.

"Everyone knows the club shouldn't be where they are in the table but now it's up to me and my teammates to get us up to a better position."
