Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah hopes to show Alan Pardew what he can do with Reading.

Appiah made the move to Reading last week on-loan.

"This is the next test for me. If I want to make it in the Palace first team, this loan move is the next step on the ladder," he said.

"I've been in League One and League Two and shown what I can do at those levels, and I've also shown myself on the international stage with Ghana as well.

"I have a few weeks to get my head down at Reading and do my stuff, so I'm looking forward to it."
