Crystal Palace hero Darren Ambrose says his wonder goal at Manchester United may not save him from the axe.

Ambrose, 27, admits it may not be enough to save him from the axe from boss Dougie Freedman as he looks to freshen up his team quickly.

The former Ipswich, Newcastle and Charlton ace said: "That was probably the best goal of my career because of the occasion and the fact we beat the champions live on TV.

"But I could be left out of the team again against Derby!"
