Palace skipper Jedinak insists season plans on track

Crystal Palace skipper Mile Jedinak insists there's no reason for concern after their friendly defeat to Brentford.

Jedinak says it was understandable that Brentford would be sharper on the day.

"It's never good to lose, you don't want to lose games but were probably a week behind them (Brentford)," the Australian told the Croydon Advertiser.

"They were probably slightly sharper than us but saying that, we went behind early in the second half and then we got it back to 2-2 and then conceded relatively a soft goal from our standards.

"All in all, it's all about building momentum towards that first game (against Arsenal). It's definitely started and we knew it was going to be tough game at Brentford.

"It was good to get good opposition, but you can't take too much from it. It's all about building for two weeks' time."
