Crystal Palace signing Dwight Gayle is being tipped to take the Premier League by storm.

Hitman Gayle has made a £6million move from Peterborough to Prem new boys Crystal Palace on £18,000-a-week wages.

But two years ago Gayle, 22, was a £200-a-week carpenter playing non- league.

Dagenham snapped him up but sent him on loan to Conference North Bishop's Stortford.

And Rod Stringer, Gayle's boss at Stortford, admitted: "He reminds me of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - a baby-faced assassin.

"The minute you underestimate him - because of his youthful looks - you are making a big mistake."
