Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle is hoping to make a swift recovery from a hamstring injury he suffered in the build up to the 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

"I felt a niggle before the Liverpool game but hopefully it is not too bad, and hopefully I am back playing as soon as I can," Gayle said.

"There's not a certain date, I'm just going to see how it goes. I think I am going to have it re-scanned in the next week or so."

The 26-year-old has made six league appearances for the Eagles this season without scoring a goal.
