Palace ready to open contract talks with Bostock

Crystal Palace are ready to open contract talks with teenager John Bostock.

Bostock became the youngest player to represent Palace in October 2007 when he came on as a substitute against Watford.

The Lambeth-born 16-year-old playmaker is rumoured to have attracted attention from scouts across Europe, and the Eagles boss is eager to get him to sign a contract.

Warnock told icsouthlondon: "There has been a development because he now has an agent and we're going to have a meeting next week.

"They're very busy so it's taking time and that was the earliest we could meet.

"I've spoken to John's father and he's very positive about the situation."
