Crystal Palace are pushing to close a deal for Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann.
The Mirror says Palace boss Tony Pulis is closing in on a £2.5million deal for Dann - despite the centre-half's reputation as a relegation specialist.
Dann went down from the Premier League with Rovers in 2012, having joined them from Birmingham after they suffered the drop to the Championship a year before.
He is on around £30,000-a-week - wages that Palace are willing to pick up despite their own fears of what may happen financially if they go down in May.
