Palace prepared to offload Aussie midfielder Carle

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has confirmed the club will listen to offers for out-of-favour midfielder Nick Carle in the New Year. The Australia international has made just four Championship appearances off the bench this season and Warnock concedes it would be better for him if he secures regular football elsewhere.

With next summer's World Cup finals on the horizon, Warnock thinks a permanent move would be in the 27 year olds best interests, although he is not ruling out a loan move.

"Nick is on the market to sell permanently and we'd only look at loans at the end of January," said the Palace boss.

"He knows he needs to be playing to get into Australia's World Cup squad and has got to be getting games after Christmas."
