Palace move quickly and appoint Hart as new boss

Crystal Palace have appointed Paul Hart as manager until the end of the season, reports The Sun. Hart replaces Neil Warnock, who has moved across London to local rivals QPR.

The 56-year-old will be assisted by former Palace striker Dougie Freedman, with John Pemberton as first-team coach.

Hart said: "I like a challenge and this is definitely a big challenge.

"There's only one objective here - to stay in the Championship.

"Palace don't deserve to drop out of the division and neither do the players."
