Crystal Palace are interested in Genoa defender Andreas Granqvist.
The Daily Star Sunday says Palace boss Holloway has held preliminary talks with the Sweden international's representatives following the collapse of Granqvist's proposed move to AC Milan.
The Eagles are ready to meet Genoa's £3million valuation of Granqvist, 28 after the Serie A side reluctantly accepted defeat in their bid to keep him.
West Bromwich Albion are also keen.
