Crystal Palace are moving for Dinamo Moscow coach Dan Petrescu.
The Mirror says the Romania legend and former Chelsea star has an impressive CV from working in Eastern Europe since hanging up his boots and is the new lead contender for the post.
Petrescu, who has been a boss for a decade with six different clubs in his homeland, Poland and Russia, is willing to sever his ties with Dinamo Moscow and return to England, where he has backers inside Selhurst Park.
Palace have appointed Iain Moody as their new director of football last week, and insiders reveal that Cardiff's former head of recruitment is a fan of Petrescu and is behind the move to approach him.
