Palace miss out on two but succeed with Derby's Moxey

Crystal Palace have had a £800,000 joint bid for Ipswich Town's Damien Delaney and David Norris rejected, reports this is Croydon today. Palace co-chairman Steve Parish confirmed the news but it was more positive for Derby County full back Dean Moxey who has arrived at Selhurst Park for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old signed a three-and-a-half year contract at Selhurst Park.

"I'm glad to be here and am looking forward to this new challenge at Palace," Moxey told the club's official website.

"It looks like it will only be Moxey coming in now," Parish said. "We bid £800,000 for Norris and Delaney but Ipswich said no."

Palace were considering a move for Portsmouth's Michael Brown, but that seems certain to be scuppered by the midfielder's excessive wage demands.
