Palace matchwinner Chamakh happy to gain Allardyce revenge

Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh was happy to gain revenge on West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce this week.

Chamakh scored the winner for Palace in Tuesday's victory over the Hammers.

The Moroccan striker, 29, spent the second half of last season on loan with the Hammers from Arsenal but made just three appearances.

He said: "When I was there it was a really good atmosphere.

"The players were fantastic with me and they had really great fans. I just had a problem with the manager.

"He lied to me. He said, 'You will play with Andy Carroll'.

"I played just three games and after that I did not play one more minute, so I think it was a good response and answer from me on the pitch.

"I am really satisfied but after that I really don't care."
