Palace keeper Speroni putting down English roots with new restaurant

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni is so settled in England he's now opened a restaurant in Surrey.

The Argentinian has swapped football gloves for oven gloves after opening his own Mediterranean restaurant - Speroni's - in Purley, Surrey.

Speroni told the Sunday Mirror: "I knew if I was going to put my name to something I wanted to surround myself with top professionals.

"We've built the menu around my taste and some of the dishes are my mum's recipes.

"I've invited a few of the players in and we've had great feedback from the fans."
