Hitman Robert Earnshaw is currently a free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest but Championship rivals Crystal Palace have distanced themselves from reports of a move for the Wales international. Eagles boss Dougie Freedman told News Shopper: "There's no truth in that yet.
"There are a lot of names in the hat but he's not one."
Freedman has already snapped up former Brighton forward Glenn Murray for nothing and has another couple of potential free transfers in the pipeline.
"I have got two or three free transfers lined up that will hopefully come off," he added.
