Crystal Palace are chasing Newcastle United winger Sammy Ameobi.

The People says Ameobi is also a target for Palace boss Alan Pardew.

The 22-year-old Newcastle winger, whose older brother Shola moved to Palace on a short-term deal till the end of the season in January, is available on a free transfer in the summer.

Pardew handed him his Newcastle debut in May 2011.
