Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has given a strong hint that Neil Warnock will be the next manager at Selhurst Park.
Peter Taylor was sacked on Monday after a disappointing start to the season, ending his 16-month tenure at the club.
Warnock is the heavy favourite to succeed Taylor and Jordan admits the former Sheffield United chief is a leading candidate for the role.
He told the Daily Mail: "Peter was given every chance to turn the situation around, but it hasn't happened.
"I like Peter but we need a change. I don't want to waste another season.
"We need an injection of something and someone like Neil Warnock will give us that.
"He is a winner and I am a winner."
