Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak has defended his clash with West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho yesterday.

After Palace's 3-1 win, Jedinak insists he meant no harm when he clattered into Sakho late in the game and caught the West Ham man in the side of the face.

He said: "I am not sure how I caught him, but I did not mean to."

The challenge went unpunished - but he could yet face retrospective action.
