Palace boss Warnock: Zaha still wants to make it at Man Utd

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed Wilfried Zaha still wants to make it at parent club Manchester United.

Warnock dismissed suggestions that Zaha thinks he is worth better than a return to his old club.

He said: "No, not at all. He's gone to United and he would still like to give it a go there.

"They are one of the top clubs in the world. You don't give up that easily.

"He has come here to try to convince the manager there that he is good enough to be given a go. That's his aim. His attitude has been spot-on.

"I don't think he is being disrespectful to us. It's just a case of his intention being to go back there eventually and get into the team.

"His problem at United was he simply didn't get enough games. Last week he ran out of steam a bit but he's put in a lot of effort on the training ground.

"Ability and confidence have never been his problem - not when you wear the boots he does!

"Look, it's got to be a bit intimidating going there. But he likes his feet to do the talking for him really. His attitude has always been spot-on for me.

"I know there have been one or two things said about him. Sometimes people look for things that aren't there."
