Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has warned Wigan Athletic off fullback Nathaniel Clyne.
Latics boss Steve Bruce watched Clyne against Derby recently but Warnock said: "£1million wouldn't buy his shoelaces."
Former Burnley boss Stan Ternent, who now does scouting work for the Latics, watched the Londoners at Doncaster last weekend.
Warnock is desperate to keep Clyne and build his team around the 17-year-old right-back next season.
He said: "I could show you the scouts list for the last 15 or 20 games and you would find at least 10 Premier League teams who have been at every match."
