Palace boss Warnock admits Delaney, Ward yet to ink new terms

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock admits Damien Delaney and Joel Ward are yet to sign new terms.

Delaney's contract expires at the end of this season.

"At the moment he hasn't signed it but the contract is there on the table," said Warnock.

"You would have to ask him why he hasn't signed it. He's a good leader for us in the dressing room. That's why we have offered him a new contact. It's up to him whether he signs it, not me."

Warnock confirmed that the club have been in discussions with Ward over a new deal.

"I think that Joel is an important player." said Warnock. "It doesn't mean that he will sign a contract. He's got his options, speaking to the lad himself.

"I think it's important that the club make offers like this to players, not just when their contract has expired, but in plenty of time when you value their service."
