Palace boss Pulis wants local managerial talent recognised

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis says there's plenty of good stories about local managers this season.

Pulis reckons managers plying their trade away from elite clubs do not get the recognition they deserve.

He said: "My manager of the season would probably be Steve Bruce - I think Hull is an unfashionable club.

"Keeping them in the Premier League and then getting them to a cup final, I think doing that for a club like Hull is absolutely fantastic.

"I think Shaun Dyche at Burnley has done wonderfully and I think Russ Wilcox at Scunthorpe has as well.

"So it's the managers really that haven't maybe got the resources that the others have got but have been successful in their own way."
