Palace boss Pulis denies he and Parish "at eachother's throats"

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis insist he gets along with club co-owner Steve Parish.

Pulis denies tension with Parish.

He told WalesOnline: "People think that Steve and I are at each other throats all the time.

"That is not the case. I have a good relationship with Steve and that is important.

"When I first came into management, Bruce Rioch, who was manager at Bolton and was successful before he went to Arsenal, said: 'Tony, your most important relationship is with your chairman.'

"That is as good advice as I have ever had.

"Stoke City owner Peter Coates is as wonderful a man as I have ever met in my life.

"I have so much respect for Peter.

"We had our moments during my time at Stoke and Peter expected that.

"Steve is the same. He knows me now, he knows what I am like.

"But you have to give and take, especially when you are at the sharp end.

"I have to take and accept - at times - that certain things have to be done differently to what I would like.

"It doesn't mean to say that I don't ask for some things or expect things to happen.

"That's just the way I am."
