Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew hopes to buy big this summer.

Pardew says that with Premier League status secured they must not waste their "great opportunity" to make a statement in the transfer market.

"Over the summer, I'm going to be banging the chairman's door down for some big signings," said Pardew.

"We can plan for the future and jump the gun with transfers. It's a great opportunity. The chairman has a new agenda. It's important we don't stagnate."
