Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew hopes to announce the signing of Pape Souare today.
The Lille fullback was undergoing his medical yesterday.
"The process is pretty way down the line, the player isn't in the country as Senegal's game only finished 24 hours ago or so," said Pardew.
"He's travelling back and will come straight for a medical. If he passes it, he looks to be signing as well.
"I think it could be done today if we can get the hospital to scan him in time."
