Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says John Carver is capable of taking the Newcastle United job fulltime.
Carver replaced Pardew on a temporary basis when the latter left last month.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Pardew said: "I think John has the credentials to be a Premier League manager.
"I see other Premier League managers and John has the qualities.
"He has conducted himself superbly."
