Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway insists Owen Garvan can still have a future at Selhurst Park.
Garvan could yet be forgiven for his Twitter rant, in which he suggested Holloway's day at the club were numbered.
Holloway said: "He was really close to being selected. In fact if it wasn't for a conversation we had the week before I picked the squad, he would have been in my 25.
"He made it totally clear to me that he didn't want to be in the 25 if he wasn't starting almost every week. I couldn't guarantee him that. But there is a way back."
