Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway is convinced he can help Marouane Chamakh rediscover his best.
The former Arsenal striker signed for Palace last week.
Holloway said: "If I can get him scoring again the world will be his oyster."
And he slammed rumours about Chamakh's private life, fuelled by lurid tales on social networks.
When asked what he believes had gone wrong with Chamakh, who was even rejected by West Ham, he said: "Robin van Persie I would suggest. He came back in at Arsenal. Rumours about Marouane's life are just ridiculous. If I can get him scoring, the world will be his oyster again."
