Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman hopes to draw a big club in the next round of the Carling Cup.

Freedman is looking forward to Saturday's draw.

He said: "I hope it's a home draw against a big club. If we can get a home draw it will be a big advantage for us.

"We are pleased, it was a hard-fought win, we had to defend for most of the game.

"We gave a lot of respect to Southampton, who are a very good team. But we defended well and that enabled us to go on and get the goals.

"Over the 90 minutes we deserved to win."
