Crystal Palace boss George Burley is expecting Dutch veteran Edgar Davids to be fit to play against Swansea on Saturday. The 37-year-old was missing last Saturday, leading to speculation he could have played his last game for the Eagles.
But Burley has quashed such exit talk, putting the Dutchman's absence down to a virus.
He told the Evening Standard: "Edgar had a virus, so he was out from Thursday. That's why he wasn't there on Saturday.
"He trained on Monday and yesterday. He should be OK for Saturday."
