Crystal Palace are battling to sign Blackburn Rovers captain Scott Dann.
The People says Palace boss Tony Pulis wants co-owner Steve Parish to push through a deal for Dann, but the complicated move has stalled - the former Stoke manager is keen to pay the required fee and pick up Rovers skipper Dann's wages, but Parish is trying to lower the numbers.
Negotiations will now become long-range as Parish heads for the sun in Barbados and Pulis faces an uphill battle to survive back home.
