Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway faces stiff competition for DR Congo striker Jeremy Bokila.

The Mirror says Holloway gave Zuilte Waragem hit man Bokila a trial at the weekend just after he had spent three days with Dougie Freedman's Bolton Wanderers.

And while Wanderers try to raise funds for the £1million forward Palace have stepped in and may close the deal in the next few days.

French side St Etienne are also interested in Bokila.
