The Sun says Palace want to hijack Oldham's plans to keep FA Cup hero Wabara.
The defender, 21, returned to Manchester City yesterday after finishing his loan spell.
Wabara who scored in Latics' 3-2 win over Liverpool, admitted: "I may have played my last game for Oldham but I've left with some precious memories."
