Crystal Palace are ahead of Premiership clubs Fulham and Portsmouth for non-league starlet Jerson Dos Santos.
The 17-year-old forward has just left Conference South side Sutton United after he fired over 30 goals in his first season with the club.
He has already spent time at Premier LeaguePortsmouth, whilst Fulham, Charlton, Queens Park Rangers, Norwich and Ipswich are all thought to be keen on taking a close look.
But it is Palace who are heading the race for his signature after he linked up with them earlier this week.
Dos Santos featured in Palace's second string friendly with Dagenham & Redbridge on Wednesday and is believed to have impressed manager Neil Warnock.
Now he will continue training with Palace ahead of a potential deal.
"I have seen and helped a number of players come from non-league football in recent years," his advisor Tony Finnigan told skysports.com.
"I have spotted the likes of Albert Adomah, Nicky Bailey and Dean Sinclair in recent seasons and they are all now flourishing in league football and I am sure Jerson can and will do the same.
"He is currently at Crystal Palace and to be honest it would be a great move for him to go there, they have a young and talented squad and you know if you do well there you will get your chance."
