Pakistan group target Blackburn Rovers takeover
The People says the Asian group have drawn up a short-list of clubs to move for and have decided Mark Hughes's highflyers are the most attractive because of their cost and profile.
The Pakistani group have just over £100m between them - which makes Rovers within their range.
But one doubt about their credibility has emerged as the same team tried - unsuccessfully - to buy Derby County recently. After a round of talks they failed to provide proof of funds.
