Sampdoria have been urged to ignore AC Milan veteran Pippo Inzaghi.
Inzaghi is expected to leave San Siro after Christmas in search of more playing time towards the end of his career.
"It would be an error," said Samp legend Gianluca Pagliuca. "Inzaghi is 38 and I don't think he is the right man for Sampdoria.
"They need a player who is hungry, who has a desire to make a name for himself. It doesn't matter if they are unknown, they key thing is that they are ambitious.
"Inzaghi has had his career. It has been long and beautiful, but I don't think he would go to Samp with great determination.
"You also have to consider Inzaghi's current wage. I don't think that Samp want to spend that kind of money."
