Paco Alcacer says Valencia's players are responding to Gary Neville's methods.
The striker struck in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Real Madrid.
Alcacer said: "We needed two or three weeks to get to grips with the new coach and now, it's all coming together.
"We knew the game would be like this; in the end we managed to draw.
"Gareth (Bale) could have scored in stoppage time and Álvaro had a chance at the other end. We're all happy... and absolutely knackered!"
On the home fans' banners for Real coach Rafa Benitez, he added: "Of course, he's brilliant manager, he made us win trophies and he deserves a lot of credit for that."
