Mixu Paatelainen is set to be unveiled as the new Kilmarnock boss, reports the Scottish Sun. The big Finn has spent the last two days locked in talks with Killie chairman Michael Johnston.
Ex-St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson, former Hearts boss John Robertson and ex-Dundee gaffer Alex Rae were also interviewed but former Hibernian boss Paatelainen looks a cert to take the reins on Thursday.
That will bring to an end a tortuous six week process to confirm a manager for the 2010-11 season.
The Finn has been out of work since being axed as Hibs gaffer in May 2009.
