Oxlade-Chamberlain on verge of Arsenal return

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is close to again seeing action for Arsenal with manager Arsene Wenger suggesting he could be back on this weekend.

The Gunners face Aston Villa on Monday night and could have the 20-year old winger in tow following a knee injury that has kept him out since the opening day defeat to the West Midlands club.

"It is unbelievable because he played the first game of the season, against Aston Villa, and now he is back and available and it is against Aston Villa again," said Wenger.

"That makes it five months where has been completely out, so that means he is fresh and that should give us a boost."
