Oxlade-Chamberlain keen to push on during Arsenal's pre-season tour of Asia

Arsenal young gun Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is excited about getting over to Asia for the clubs pre-season tour.

The 18-year old winger made a very positive impact in his debut season with the Gunners, which culminated in a few appearances for England at Euro2012, and he is keen to continue improving when the North Londoners fly out for training and games in Malaysia, China and Hong Kong.

"I hope to work on my fitness and gain more experience, and I am sure we will have a good time too," he told Arsenal Player.

"Obviously it is a good start to the season and hopefully I will do as well as I can out there and push on."

And Oxlade-Chamberlain also admitted it was a surprise to see how much fanfare there was for Arsenal from all corners of the globe.

"When I first came to Arsenal [the popularity of the Club] was one of the most surprising things for me," he said.

"You have people from Malaysia, South Africa, America and Australia all supporting Arsenal and it makes you realise how big a club this is."
