Former Southampton midfielder Brian Howard has joined Oxford United.
Howard, 31, had been without a club since leaving Birmingham City in the summer.
He joined Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia after being released by Bristol City in July 2013.
He made 11 league appearances for Sofia, before returning to English football as a free agent and spent some of last season at Birmingham.
"It's a good club and I have been really impressed with the set up and the plans that the club has," Howard told the club website.
"I have been made to feel at home straight away, have worked hard with the fitness coaches to catch up with the lads after pre-season and I feel fit and raring to go."
