Michael Owen is delighted Alan Shearer has returned to Newcastle United.

Owen led the line with Super Al for Newcastle and England but will pinch himself today when he sees new boss Shearer in the Toon dugout shouting orders.

In the matchday programme for today's home clash with Chelsea, Owen, 29, says: "I watched Alan's career when I was a kid, I admired him as a player, then got to play alongside him, which was great.

"Now I'm playing for him as my manager! Who would have thought it?"
