Michael Owen admits he has concerns over new contract talks with Newcastle United.
"The situation is that the manager said to me about 10 or 12 days ago that he wants me to stay, he told me what type of player he's going for in the summer and what he thought we needed and his vision for the club.
"It's all fantastic to hear and fantastic stuff but it's just been the manager and he said then that the chairman would get in touch with my advisor over the coming weeks.
"It's not me putting pressure on, but he hasn't yet, so there's nothing really more to say. I presume the season will finish in a couple of weeks and then we'll get in touch with me and talk over the summer.
"It's probably a question you need ask the powers that be here. That's not me putting pressure on, because I've been in these situations many times before."
